The presentations of Brand, De Bievre and Hibbert were made available by Paul De Bievre to a small group of interested scientists, from whom comments were solicited. Since it is clear from these presentations that a great deal of confusion about the mole, amount of substance, the Avogadro constant (and Avogadro number) and related topics still exists, I offer my comments in the enclosed document.
